Breast cancer is a disease that begins in the breast tissue when cells mutate and grow uncontrollably, forming a tumour. It’s crucial to recognise the signs and seek early treatment, as options vary depending on the type of breast cancer.
What to Look Out For:
- Thickening, swelling, or lumps in the breasts or armpits—whether hard, soft, or even movable.
- Changes in skin texture, such as dimpling or puckering.
- Persistent pain in the breasts or nipples lasting more than two weeks.
- Swollen lymph nodes under the arm or around the collarbone.
- Sudden changes in shape, size, or texture in just one breast or nipple—this is usually a warning sign.
Did You Know?
- Around 18% of breast cancers occur in the nipple area.
- Breast cancer is 5-10% more likely to develop in the left breast—the reason remains unknown!
Treatment Options:
- Radiotherapy, chemotherapy, lumpectomy, mastectomy, or removal of affected lymph nodes are common treatments.
- Removing lymph nodes can affect the lymphatic system, leading to lymphedema—swelling and discomfort from fluid buildup.
Managing Lymphedema:
- Zingiber officinale root extract, found in Cell-U-Lite, is anti-inflammatory and promotes blood circulation, helping reduce swelling.
- Gentle massage toward the heart using Cell-U-Lite and Hand & Body Lotion can relieve discomfort.
Aloe does not cure cancer, however, there is scientific proof that it inhibits the growth of certain tumorous cells.
Support During Chemotherapy:
- Aloe Ferox Juice helps alleviate nausea and fatigue.
- Aloe supports the digestive tract lining, reducing ulcer risk during treatment.
- Omega-3 supplements can ease inflammation.
- Use Super Aloe Gel/Ferox Gel before and after radiation to strengthen and protect the skin.
- Vitamin C aids skin repair and collagen synthesis, boosting the effectiveness of radiation.
- Fabulous Fibre Bitter caps/tabs can help relieve constipation during cancer treatment.
- Nutri Hair capsules and HL hair products stimulate hair regrowth.
Important Notes:
- Immune boosters should not be used during chemotherapy.
- After chemotherapy, use Winter Fighter and Body Basics to quickly rebuild the immune system, and Val-U-Life to help improve appetite.
Stay informed, stay vigilant, and spread awareness. Early detection saves lives!
